To ensure quality DENSO products, every year, employees volunteer to test and improve their skills with a Quality Skills Competition. Employees inspect various parts and challenge their ability to find the flaws. This helps them quickly identify and fix any issues on the production line.
Each year, nearly every North American plant participates in the Quality Circle Convention. Quality Circle teams are comprised of line workers who identify problems with product and manufacturing procedures. Teams select improvement targets, establish steps to reach them, and must prove the problem does not recur after adopting a new process. Winners earn a trip to the international competition in Japan.
